Our Pastor


Rev.
Keith Marc Amborn was born July 18, 1955, at
Lakeland hospital in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, the son
of LeRoy and Carol Amborn. He grew up in East
Troy, Wisconsin and attended its public schools,
graduating from East Troy High School in 1973.
He has a sister, Karen (John) Mielke, of East
Troy.
Pastor Amborn received a Bachelor of Arts degree
from Northwestern College, Watertown, Wisconsin,
in 1978 and a Master of Divinity degree from
Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, Theinsville,
Wisconsin, in 1982. He first served St. John's
Ev. Lutheran Church in Barre Mills, Wisconsin
(rural La Crosse). He has served St. Paul, since
August of 1990.
Pastor Amborn married Bonnie Phillips, a teacher
at St. Paul's Lutheran Grade School in Lake
Mills, Wisconsin, on July 27, 1980. Bonnie is
now a para-professional at Sherman Multicultural
School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She directs the
St. Paul choir, and takes
part in many of the organizations of the
congregation.
Pastor and Bonnie have five children: Christian,
an emergency technician at St. Joseph's
Hospital, married to Monica; Martin, who works at
Western Envelope in Butler; Kirk, who recently
received his basic EMT certificate, and is
employed by Paratech; Katrina (Ketti) attends
MATC and is studying dental hygiene, she also
works for Sendik's; and Analise (Ana), a
freshman at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, who
enjoys volleyball.
Another important member of the Amborn family is
Wolfie, a Shetland Sheepdog.
Pastor Amborn enjoys gardening and is especially
proud of the biblical herb garden he tends at
the parsonage. He also enjoys spending time in
Chicago with his family and friends.
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to
you, then choose for yourselves this day whom
you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers
served beyond the River, or the gods of the
Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as
for me and my household, we will serve the
